Climb For Education

Welcome, and thank you for joining us on this remarkable journey to the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro – the highest peak in Africa.

On Tuesday 9th January, Yemi will start this climb together with his partner, Jean-Michel Kamanan from Cote D'Ivoire, and a few good friends. This climb is more than a physical challenge; it's a journey that resonates deeply with the values and aspirations of his company, Uhuru Investment Partners.

The Nigeria Higher Education Foundation's mission to advance education for Nigerian scholars and universities underscores the significance of investing in the next generation of leaders, innovators, and changemakers. Why Uhuru Point? The name 'Uhuru' means 'freedom' in Swahili, symbolizing liberation, triumph, and the peak of achievement. It's no coincidence that our company shares its name with the highest point on Kilimanjaro and indeed the highest point in Africa – Uhuru Point. This climb embodies Uhuru’s commitment to reaching new heights, not just in business, but in our contributions to society.

Yemi & Jean-Michel’s goal is to harness this spirit of adventure and perseverance to support the Nigeria Higher Education Foundation. They believe in giving back, and through this climb, we aim to raise $20,000 to help further the goals of the NHEF and develop talent in a country that is home to one of the world's largest youth population.
