Climbing Carstensz Pyramid from sea to sea

Hi, my name is Cris.

A couple of years ago I decided to follow my crazy dream... to climb the highest mountain on each continent (also known as the 7 Summits challenge) from sea level and back to sea level - every single meter up and down, on foot.

At the start of 2024, I put my money where my mouth was and went on a two-month expedition to climb the highest mountain in South America and Africa.

This ended up being the hardest thing I have ever done...

After two gruelling months, I managed to summit both peaks, from sea to sea, in the process covering more than 1400 KM.

I have spent a good chunk of this year organising an expedition to the highest peak on the Oceanic continent, Carstensz Pyramid (4,884 m). This might well be the hardest of the 7 Summits to complete due to the political issues in West Papua, but this does not deter me.

I aim to do this month-long expedition in May next year, making it the third summit on the list.

I'm working hard to get sponsorship from brands for this expedition, but I will also need help with crowdfunding.
