Stephen Corcoran is taking on a remarkable hike to raise money for an animal charity charity - Rehoming Cork Pets

Stephen will be climbing Mera peak climbing is the tallest trekking peak in Nepal, standing at 6,476m is the highest of trekking peaks in Nepal located in SoluKhumbu district in the Everest region’s eastern part of Nepal.

Mera Peak Climb is an 18-Day itinerary and Stephen will share as much of the journey daily as technically possible.

The proceeds of his endeavour will go towards the the costs of rehoming mainly dogs and to help towards cats and dogs being neutered or spayed.

Stephen has arrived Nepal today 31st October 2023 is starting his trek to Mount Everest Base Camp. From there he will attempt to summit the Himalayan mountain, Island Peak. The expedition will take 18 days to complete and Stephen will have to contend with high altitudes, long days, nerve-jangling crevasses and glaciers.
