Climbing Hills to Put Smiles on Faces

In May this year our best friend Tom Bowness sadly passed away leaving behind Cavel (his wife) and his 3 children Lily (aged 15) Oscar (aged 8) and Emilia (aged 5).

On top of losing their husband and father, a week and a half later their nan / great nana also passed away leaving more heartache in the family and really putting the family through a time in their lives, that we don’t know how they have got through.

Tom was genuinely one of the nicest people that could be met and always willing to help anyone and always put his family first.

Shortly before he passed, he had booked for him and his family to travel to Orlando Florida, for not only their family holiday but for him and Cavel to celebrate their 10 year wedding anniversary. Sadly, he will no longer be able to make the memories with them that he had wished for.

He was the main income provider for the family, as Lily has special needs and requires around the clock care, which Cavel provides for her. Fortunately, the family had paid off the flights and accommodation before his passing and the family have still decided to go.

They had however not booked Disney World, which is hopefully where we can all come together and try and put some smiles on faces that have been sorely missing from them this year.

Our aim is to raise funds that can go towards buying them tickets whilst they're in Florida.

We will be walking the Yorkshire 3 Peaks on the 18th August 2024 and then also doing the National 3 Peaks in September 2024.
