Climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro for CFB

From January 12th to January 22nd 2023 I will be climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro in Tanzania. I realize that in my life I have been so fortunate to be able to embark on these amazing journeys and with that being said I want to make sure that I am making this once in lifetime opportunity about more than myself. The last fundraising I did was about mental health benefitting Grant Us Hope in Cincinnati. Since February 2019 however I have called Chicago home. One of the guiding mantra’s I try to live by is “Leave it better than you found it”. So this time around I will be raising funds for the Chicago Furniture Bank. Since moving here I’ve seen the impact that this amazing charity has on the community and why it’s so important that it continues to gain the funding and attention that it deserves. “The mission of the Chicago Furniture Bank is to provide dignity, stability and comfort to Chicagoans that face poverty by allowing clients to handpick an entire home's worth of furnishings for free.“ I invite you to follow along on my trip, through my insta Pkahninthewilderness and donate if you can!
