Clinton Girls Varsity Hockey Team
Hi Everyone,
As you know, this past February our Clinton Girls Varsity Hockey Team won the State Championship title at Herb Brooks Arena in Lake Placid, NY. Our team is made of up girls from all different school districts in our area since we are the only local High School girls team.
We consider ourselves a community team and are so fortunate that this community has supported us for so many years. Even though we are a high school sport, we are not funded by the schools. Each year, we have to raise $25,000 to support the costs of our season (ice time, officials, uniforms, transportation, etc.). This is done through fundraisers, parent donations and many of our local businesses and community members making donations to our team. We are so thankful to have everyone’s support each year.
When our girls won the state championship title, we wanted to recognize their achievement in every way possible. After all their hard work and late night practices, they deserved the recognition! Back in February, we were planning on purchasing championship rings for the girls since this is a once in a lifetime achievement. However, with COVID-19 and our current circumstances, it has been very difficult to arrange the many fundraisers it would take to raise money to purchase the rings for the girls. And since our parents already spend so much of their own money to support our season each year, we really want to raise the funds needed so that these rings can be given to each player.
I know times have been tough with COVID-19 and many are struggling. All we are asking for is a donation of $5. If everyone shares this page and makes that small donation, I know we can achieve our goal to purchase rings for the our very own state champions!
Thank you to everyone who has supported us throughout the years and continues to support our program. It’s not easy being an unfunded program, but with a community like ours - you help make it possible year after year! And I know I can speak for all our current and past players/parents when I say, we appreciate your support SO MUCH. It means the world to us to be able to play the game we love for the community we love ❤️
THANK YOU!
