Clipper Baseball Club Recovery Fund

The former president of the Clippers Baseball Club misappropriated over $30,000 in club funds, leaving the parents of approximately 100 kids to chip in hundreds more dollars just to finish their 2019 baseball season. It also left the Club in debt to pay for facility rentals, team insurance, team photos, umpires, equipment, and other basic team costs. After a lengthy investigation, the former president was arrested for first-degree theft on October 22, 2019.
The Club has banded together, reorganized, and restructured. We have worked hard with several fundraisers just to pay the local businesses, schools, cities, and others who were left holding the bag because of these misappropriations. We still have a long way to go.
To be clear, we will have a 2020 season as we have essentially started from scratch. This campaign is not in lieu of normally planned fundraisers. We have been approached by others outside of our area asking how they can help. That is why we started this campaign. Our kids will be working hard for the 2020 season. Any money raised with this campaign will pay towards those debts. While we expect and hope for full restitution, we know the legal system takes time. We are asking for your help. Help us raise $10,000 more to make us whole. These funds will help us put the past behind us so our kids can just play ball. That's all we want to do, is play ball.
