Clive Brown and Urban Sound want to share their music

We at Premises Music Education Programme are raising funds for our Voice Jam choir master Clive Brown, who has his own gospel choir. Clive and his choir are trying to raise funds to record, mix and distribute a concert record, as well as invest in some instruments. Clive, Hackney born and bred, who has raised himself out of extremely difficult personal circumstances and health issues, has managed to turn his life around through the power of music. He continues to inspire and lead our Junior choirs while also running his own choir. This is what they say:

"Clive Brown and Urban Sound (CBUS) is a dynamic and soulful gospel choir founded in May 2019 by the esteemed Clive Brown. Under his visionary leadership, CBUS has crafted a unique blend of innovation and renaissance that has become their signature sound. With the powerful and diverse voices of our 30-member choir, we create music that uplifts, empowers, and inspires everyone who hears it.

In 2023, we were blessed to release and host a live recording concert for our debut EP, The Divine. The response has been incredible, but we know there’s so much more to share. Our hearts are set on bringing new music to the world, to touch lives and uplift spirits – and this is a project that has been in development for some time. Now, we need your help to make it a reality.

As a self-funded group, all of our members volunteer their time and talent. Now, we are asking for your support to help us reach a goal of £12,000. The funds raised will go towards vital studio time, instruments, and equipment needed to complete the production of our upcoming project. In addition, the funds will help us develop and mentor up-and-coming singers and musicians through workshops – a passion that is close to Clive Brown’s heart.

This campaign will run for 8 weeks, and with your support, we can take our music beyond the walls of our community and reach the masses. Every contribution, no matter the size, brings us closer to sharing our message of hope and love with the world.
