Cllr John Lyons Local Election Campaign 2024

Hi all,

I am running for re-election to Dublin City Council in the Artane-Whitehall Local Electoral Area (LEA) on June 7th.

It has been an honour to serve as a city councillor over the last ten years and a real privilege get to know and work with a wide variety of wonderful people, groups, clubs and others across the northside who are passionate, committed and dedicated to enhancing their communities and providing people of all ages with opportunities to engage in a range of meaningful, healthy, positive and life-affirming activities.

Since 2014, I have used my position as a city councillor to challenge the ongoing housing crisis, the chronic lack of investment in new community, social, arts and sporting facilities in our communities, the deliberate undermining of local government and the distortion of the planning system that raised the interests of private profit over the the best interests of our communities.

I want to continue playing my part in the battle to create a better city, a Dublin for All that leaves nobody and no community behind. I want to see more affordable public housing on public lands and the creation of a more inclusive, safer and greener city for all.

To do this, I need to be re-elected and so I need your help!

The main costs of the campaign will be the leaflets, the posters and their cable ties.

I will be spending the next month hopefully speaking to thousands of people at their front doors, delivering tens of thousands of leaflets and hanging up hundreds of posters so if you have a few euro to spare that you are willing to donate to my campaign, I would be sincerely grateful and deeply appreciative.
