Cloete House Charity Walk Fundraiser
The page for donations to Cloete House's Local Charity London Sport's Trust.
On Friday 22nd March, SPS students & staff will be rowing, running or walking over 5 miles from Hammersmith to Putney and back in order to raise money for their local House charity. In the previous two iterations of this walk we raised money for international and national charities, (Beyond Ourselves & Women's Aid respectively). This year, Cloete House will be raising money for London Sport's Trust.
London Sport's Trust is a charitable organization dedicated to improving the physical and mental well-being of Londoners through sports and physical activity. Founded with the vision of making London the most physically active city in the world, the trust works collaboratively with various partners, including local authorities, schools, sports clubs, and community groups, to increase participation in sports and physical exercise across the capital.
The trust focuses on several key areas, including increasing access to sports facilities and opportunities, promoting inclusivity and diversity in sports participation, supporting the development of grassroots sports clubs, and delivering targeted programs to engage underrepresented groups such as women and girls, people with disabilities, and individuals from disadvantaged backgrounds.
Through its initiatives, London Sport's Trust aims to harness the power of sport to address social issues, improve health outcomes, and enhance the overall quality of life for Londoners. By fostering a culture of active living and providing support at both the individual and community levels, the trust strives to create a more active, healthier, and happier population across London.
