Our Impact

Clonlara School Idanha will be an international, bilingual school, following the “Michigan Academic Standards” and welcoming students in grades 1–12.

We envision a place where education goes beyond textbooks, fostering a love for learning and personal growth.

The Clonlara School Idanha Project creates a unique opportunity in the interior of Portugal, bringing an innovative, differentiated, multicultural, and global educational option in a region far from large urban centers where there is no alternative to conventional education.

Idanha-a-Nova is witnessing the arrival of more and more families who choose the territory to live. Many have more than one child in their families and seek a modern educational and alternative life in the region, more holistic and oriented to the profile of children in the 21st century.

At the same time, it is a region where the low population density and the high dropout rate of students from the local community reveal an urgent social need.

By attracting more families, children, and young people to an innovative educational model, this new school will encourage young families to stay in the region, helping to combat population decline. It will also contribute to enhancing local workforce skills, a key factor in talent retention and economic growth.

The connection between the school and local businesses will also open doors for internships and apprenticeship programs, creating new opportunities for both students and employers.

More than just a school, Clonlara School Idanha will act as a catalyst for economic and social growth, improving the quality of life for the community and establishing a sustainable cycle of development.

Clonlara School Idanha offers personalized teaching model with an international educational approach, allowing its students to broaden their horizons, consider diverse and different perspectives, and build confidence for their development as global citizens.

It intends to be an agent of change and transformation in the region, with the aim of creating an educational structure to support and respond to all families in the area through a more inclusive educational approach.

United Nations Sustainable Development Goals

The Clonlara School Idanha Project is oriented and implemented considering the inclusion of practices, activities, and projects aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals in the following categories: Quality Education (4), Gender Equality (5), Decent Work and Economic Growth (8), and Sustainable Cities and Communities (11).

Why Your Support Matters

The Portuguese Association of Clonlara is a nonprofit organization created in 2021 with the goal of establishing the first Clonlara campus in Portugal. The association is composed of nine members that collaborate in different ways for the project.

As an association, we are not driven by profit but by the positive impact we can create for students, families, and society. With your generous contributions and by sharing our campaign within your circles, we can complete the renovation of our school building.

The financial support and investment in this school has been exclusively done by Clonlara Inc., a nonprofit organization in the United States.

All funds from Clonlara School come from the services that the organization provides to more than 2,000 students around the world. It is a totally independent project.

Let’s Build the Future of Education Together
