Clothing for Kids

We are just a simple handful of mothers who want to make a difference in children's lives by providing them with new & gently used clothing. Many people know the struggle of working paycheck to paycheck and how fast little ones grow.
We are raising money for our local elementary children who need clothing for the school year. These children range in grades preschool through 5th grade. We will be having a personal shopping day for the children where they can come & pick out the clothes they like & need during a special shopping time the school puts aside for them. This will be on a personal level for the children. Some children don't have the luxury of being able to choose what they like or get the chance to wear new clothing.
We are also asking for donations of gently used clothes ranging in sizes from 4T to size 14/16 but with all of the donations, we still won't have enough to meet the demand for these children. All of the money we raise will go towards buying new clothing & shoes, along with personal items they may need...like toiletries...etc. I started with a goal of $2000 because I really had no clue what to put as a goal when we signed up for this page. The amount was suggested to me. I've now changed it since we really don't have a goal. We just wanted people to have the opportunity to donate towards buying new clothing if they didn't have gently used clothing to donate. We will also use this money for buying things that don't always get donated when used...i.e. socks...etc. It will also go to buying the items that don't get donated enough...i.e. shoes, boots...etc.
We will be going to the schools starting in November before the Thanksgiving break. We will be stocking up with clothing & supplies for the children for the up & coming winter months (Hat, coats, gloves, boots...etc.) Then, we will be back again in March with clothes appropriate for the spring & summer.
All of the clothing that is donated will be washed & clean & the tags on the new clothing will be taken off so that the children will not know the difference.
Your donation will help tremendously by putting smiles on their precious little faces and providing them with the proper clothing, shoes & supplies they need.
