Cloughey Tennis Club courtside shelter
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Alistair Dunn, and I have been organising junior tennis at Cloughey Tennis Club for 16 years. I am raising funds for a courtside shelter to provide, players, parents, and spectators with a more sheltered place to watch and wait.
Our juniors play all year round and in most weather conditions. The viewing area is open to the elements in this windy location close to the shore at Cloughey. The addition of a small demountable building will transform the operation of junior coaching and the development of the Club, which is widely regarded as one of the most progressive tennis club in Northern Ireland.
Our fundraising challenge is to climb the 3 highest mountains in Ireland in the same day before end of July 2024. I will be accompanied by my walking and tennis partner, Victor Patterson, and our combined age is 152!
The mountains are all in McGillicuddy's Reeks in Co Kerry and are: Carantuohill (1038m), Benkeeragh (1008m), and Caher (1000m).
