Clyde's Amputation Surgery
Donation protected
Hello kind community.
This is Clyde. He's my sweet ol' boy, who's turning 11 on May 25th. On his left leg is a soft tissue sarcome tumor, now the size just shy of a softball. He's had it removed once before in October of 2022. Well, it's back and growing super fast. And his doctor said the best option now is full amputation of the left leg, the only solution to guarantee the soft tissue sarcoma from returning. If I leave it, the small red bumps on it will eventually burst, causing him pain and chances of infection. It will also never heal, since it's cancer tissue and they don't close up like normal skin tissue. So if I don't get his leg amputated, he will get sick with infection from those open wounds and eventually be put down within a year. Amputation not only will get rid of the tumor, it will allow him to be around for another 5-7 years.
His surgery is scheduled for July 10th. And I'm hoping to raise as much money as I possibly can to cover as much of the cost as possible. So if you run across this page, a simple $5 would be appreciated. In the video is also the estimated given to me by the vet's office. I wanted to be transparent about how much I'm being charged and to show I'm not picking a random number for this. This is just for the surgery and not blood work or chest x-rays.
After his surgery, I will post an update.
Both Clyde and I thank y'all.
