CMAS FREEDIVING WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS

Hi I'm Matt I am a British Freediver who currently is based in Indonesia Bali. I am a competitive freediver and the Uk National Record Holder at 104M deep in Free immersion.

The Cmas world freediving championships is going to be held in Kalamata Greece this year, and I would love to be able to represent the UK.

Freediving competitions are not cheap with the estimated total cost at £4000 of flights, accommodation, pre competition training dives, and the competition entry it's self. I work as a freediving instructor that I absolutely love but these types of jobs are more lifestyle based than earning based. I am very lucky to have equipment sponsorship with 2971 Freediving a UK based company who make freediving equipment. I don't have the level of Sponsorship that is able to financially help me compete and the Uk doesn't help fund towards freediving so I am entirely self funded.

I have always been a very self help resourceful person who doesn't ask for help and doing a go fund me was not a easy option for me decide to try.

The competition is in October it would be amazing to have to chance to represent the UK and hopefully finish up high in the overall rankings and set some new UK national record and put the UK in a position of having deep competitive divers.
