Angie's battle with cancer.

Hello, my name is Angie. I was recently diagnosed with a rare and aggressive form of breast cancer. This was a total shock to me, and I am just beginning to comprehend the battle I have before me. I've been meeting with doctors and formulating a plan that immediately includes chemotheraphy and additional medical procedures are likely to follow.

I have had a port placed and will start chemotherapy next week. Doctors will evaluate me each week to determine the dose and frequency of these treatments.

I will work as I can, but I will likely be out of work on and off for the next 6 months as I fight this with every ounce of strength. My medical insurance will cover some expenses, but not everything and I do not have enough medical leave to cover this period.

I live a very health-oriented lifestyle; I work out regularly and eat healthy foods. I work in the medical field as a nursing assistant. I have two wonderful therapy dogs that offer incredible comfort and love. I am very grateful for the support if you feel it in your heart to help me.
