CMS Attend the Odyssey of the Mind World Finals!

Our team of 7 talented, hard-working kids from Colonial Middle School has qualified for the "Odyssey of the Mind" World Finals at the end of May! Odyssey of the Mind is a global creative problem-solving competition for kids from 3rd through 12th grade. Our children began working on this project back in September and have put in hundreds of hours of work to get to this point. Through their 2nd place finish in the Southeast PA regional tournament, they qualified for the PA state finals on April 1st. Last weekend they had their best performance ever and placed 2nd in the state of Pennsylvania, qualifying them to attend the World Finals at Michigan State University at the end of May.

Qualifying for this event is a remarkable achievement and a rare occurrence due to the hundreds of teams that compete for the honor. It is a "once in a lifetime" type opportunity for our kids to meet other talented students from across the country and the world, and compete for the title of World Champion!

All raised funds will be used to pay for the event registration fees (which include room and board) and travel to and from the event for the kids, coaches, and required chaperones. To minimize cost, the team plans to travel via van to Michigan (road trip!!!). The kids have been dreaming of this opportunity, and have earned their spot through their dedication and hard work.
