Support Ruidoso's Wildfire Recovery Efforts

Donation protected
Since its start on Monday, June 17, the South Fork and Salt wildfires have burned over 23,000 acres with 0% containment, according to the Village of Ruidoso website. These still active fires have to date, caused the loss of approximately 1,400 structures and forced the evacuation of around 8,000 people.

We are raising funds to pass-through to a local Ruidoso community organization to support evacuation centers and recovery for those that have lost their homes and livelihoods. The costs of recovering from wildfire are extremely numerable and overwhelming to those that are recently traumatized. These funds will be passed through to a local non-profit organization that has awareness of their best use. Typical expenses include: gas cards, clothing, toiletries, medications, etc.

As the situation continues to emerge, the Forest Stewards Guild (foreststewardsguild.org) is committed to passing funding through to a reputable organization. The Forest Stewards Guild is a nationwide non-profit that is based in New Mexico and has a proven track record of financial responsibility (Platinum Transparency from Guidestar) and a commitment to forests and the communities that live within and adjacent to them. The Forest Stewards Guild has close relationships with Ruidoso organizations involved in wildfire preparedness and forestry.
