Jax needs a superhero

Jax is a beautiful 3 year old boy in the fight of his life.
A little brother to Hudson, Jax was born on 23rd November 2015 and it was quickly evident to his amazing Mum, Carly, that Jax was going to face a life of medical complications. Jax is officially blind, non verbal and has suffered seizures since birth.
Despite this Jax is a loving, courageous and strong little boy.
On Saturday 15th of June 2019, Jax was admitted to the Gold Coast University Hospital with a case of RSV. Things very quickly took a turn for the worst when Jax suffered a cardiac arrest and was also diagnosed with sepsis.
Since suffering the cardiac arrest, Jax has been on a Ventilator and sedated in an attempt to allow his body to heal.
Jax’s Mum, Carly, is an amazing Mum, a single Mum that continuously goes without to ensure both Hudson and Jax have all that they need. Carly has had many years now of large financial burdens placed upon her as any mother of a medically complexed child would understand.
Carly is now faced with decisions no parent should ever ever have to face. Spending the last 4 days in the Intensive Care Unit with her heavily sedated and intubated 3 year old, watching a machine breathe for him, being told his brain function scans show very little background activity and being asked by his Medical team to make extremely difficult decisions regarding Jax and what happens next.
Jax is doing everything he possibly can, fighting as hard as he can, while we watch helplessly. Although we can not help Jax fight, we can help to ease the financial burdens building upon his incredible Mother’s shoulders and allow her the time she needs to just be with Jax and Hudson as they navigate the worst days of their lives to date.
