Emma’s Recovery Fund

Hi all. My name is Tara Johnson and I have created this GoFundMe on behalf of a dear friend, Christine, to raise funds to help with medical bills and ongoing care for sweet Emma.

On July 7, 2023, Emma fell and suffered a severe head injury. She is currently at Duke being assessed and treated with Christine by her side. Unfortunately, the extent of her head/brain injury is evolving; however, it is clear that she has a long road to recovery ahead. As Christine learns more and is able to, we will share updates on Emma’s condition here.

As so many of you know and have experienced for yourself, Emma is the very definition of a shining light. While we know this may be a difficult road ahead, we are also confident that her light cannot be dimmed.

Christine is one of the best people I know, and certainly the best momma I know. She gives every bit of herself to those sweet babies and this will be no different. Christine has always been there for anyone in need in our community and I hope we can all rally around her family now.

Any donation, no matter how big or small, will be so greatly appreciated by Christine as they walk this road to recovery for Emma. If you are unable to donate, your prayers and good thoughts are just as appreciated.
