Family Hurting

As most everyones know the government shutdown. My husband is a veteran and I am a stay at home mom to our 3 blessings!  Not to mention he is a federal employee now. He still has to report to work like many others but no checks.  His last one was short Bc that day was after they declared the shutdown. We have 3 small kids- 7, 5, and a 3 year old!  Doing one of these was something we never intended to but this was something we didn’t expect to have happen. even tho for the last shut down he had another federal job so was the same thing but we were surrounded by family and actually had to live with my parents.  And  this one happened right during holidays. We still don’t know when it’ll open up and things will get right and as the wife and mom I can’t help but worry about how long will this take so mama bear kicked in and I listened to my parents and did all that was at my means......

My husband  loves his job, his military time counts and he can retire early with great benefits. And it’s not what people think that have never had a love one work in military or a federal job. the people voting get their checks!  It’s everyday normal ones that don’t.  

So so as I said we never did a go fund me page.  So people told us to try ( family Bc they know how hard things are for us Bc they know us and the true people we are) Bc you never know who may want to help.  

I did this page, my husband of course knew I mean we have been together 20 years! but after talking to family I did it, it was my writing, my words! Bc neither of us  come from wealthy families and they have helped as much as they can and we told them no— we don’t want your money, most have families but they still donated and our family helped as much as they could before I wrote this!

Plus not that this is the worlds business, every veteran or federal employee is not rich. His tsp from militay we had to use to buy a house a few years ago and land for down payment. And since September I have had 2 surgeries making me have a total of 7 and if you have been to even a doctor ever you can imagine how much surgery is. 


And we live in a very very unsafe neighborhood, it looks amazing. But people’s vehicles get broken into every night or tires stolen.  We didn’t know this of course moving here we asked first thing Bc of our kids and the realtor said I don’t know and didn’t offer to ask the owners.

We like to decorate for the holidays big Bc our kids love it, we have or should I say had the lights that you put in yard and that’s it bam you have lights! And they were stolen in broad daylight and my husband and dad Bc he was here helping me Bc I was recovery from surgery—-they rigged it! Wrapped it and put tacks, they still got stolen. So everything came inside, you should have seen our kids faces— it was heart breaking! 

we have been together 20 years, since junior high!  So we are not old to have a huge stash, yes we had an emergency fund but we didn’t expect this and right by Christmas, which also me and my husband don’t exchange gifts we only buy for our kids Bc they are our blessings and pride and joy.

We have our 3 kids and I am a stay at home mom Bc daycare, I would even with my degree be paying to pay someone else to watch my kids, trust me, I have tried to work after I had each kid and it would put us behind!

also, where we live now, we are 6 hrs from family and have no friends here especially me, he has his work friends. And I have him and our kids and my family back home. 

And with this being such an unsafe place to live, I mean our kids can’t go play in our yard or we can’t go to the park Bc older kids cuss so bad and do drugs! We had right before the shutdown secured a new place and terminated this lease to end soon and now we don’t know what will happen if we will lose that one too and then what. Make our kids live in a hotel, with what income and even if we were rich we wouldn’t do that. So we pray for a miracle. 

so to all you that have commented hateful judgemtal things Bc you think you know and everyone’s story is the same. just God bless you and that is why I deleted all the hateful things Bc as it hurt, words hurt.

People that think everyone or their families are rich.  Yes, he may get back pay. But think for a moment.  It will go to bills we couldn’t pay since this and also this months bills if it ends like ASAP then we are a similar boat!

i never commented back on the people saying such cruel things Bc I don’t judge, I am a pretty tender hearted person and cried and prayed after each cruel comment.  

Still praying for a miracle.
