Help Coach Blake Afford Top Surgery!

Hi!

My name is Luce, I am Blake's girlfriend, and I created this GoFundMe on behalf of Blake. Throughout the 2 years of knowing Blake, I have found to learn that he has such a surreal and amazing group of people that support his goals, both professionally and personally. I thought it would be a great way to continue the support of Blake and his transition to offer a place to donate! Fortunately, as of April 14, he has a prospective date for top surgery on July 12! Blake's insurance covers some of the procedure, but not all. Generally, top surgery can run anywhere from $3,000 to $10,000. Our $4k goal will most likely cover the surgeon's fees and the anesthesiologist. We won't know the actual cost of the surgery for another 3-4 weeks. This means that we are actively fundraising! We will post updates here.

Both Blake and I will be running this GoFundMe page, but I may be doing most of the updates because admittedly, Blake is not the most technologically advanced .

Separately, there is a tossup for skates on Blake's Instagram that will be done through Venmo and a name generator, announced July 15, 2023. This will NOT be done on GoFundMe, as it goes against GoFundMe's terms of service!

A message from Blake:

Hey y'all. I don't really know what to say here, other than if you know me, I've struggled with dysphoria for a really long time. It's hindered a lot of good moments and opportunities for me and it has altered a lot of memories that I wish could have gone differently for me and the people that I love. I haven't felt comfortable enough to travel or to do things as simple as going to the beach with my friends and family, and I'm tired of using the lie that I hate the beach to hide my body and not have to go. I usually wouldn't ask for this support in this type of way, but a few people closest to me have encouraged me to make this step. I'm really excited for this next chapter of my life and I hope to be able to share it with you all. Any donations or consideration is greatly appreciated and I'm so thankful to be able to have the opportunity to get this procedure. Anyways, that's enough vulnerability from me today.
