Coach Chad Gates Covid Recovery

If you or your child has ever played football for Independence, you know Coach Gates. As the Head Freshman Football Coach, he has coached every player since the school's inception.

Coach Gates and his family have hit some trying times. This past Monday,  his brother, Charles, passed away from Covid-19 in Arizona. On Tuesday, Coach Gates was admitted to Vanderbilt with his own Covid battle. Fortunately, he is coming home tonight, but will be on continuous oxygen as he continues to recover.

This fund will help offset medical expenses, and hopefully, when he is able, allow him to travel to be with his family in California.
