Hi everyone,

My name is Abigail Tere-Apisah and I am the eldest daughter of late Coach Kwalam Apisah. As most of you would know, our father succumbed to a very short battle with leukemia and sadly passed away on the 30th of December 2020.

Coach was a highly respected member of the Papua New Guinean tennis community and greater PNG professional sporting alumni, having an impact throughout the Pacific and further afield. Coach is most known for his impactful junior tennis program and nurturing the youth of Papua New Guinea toward their dreams, on and off the court. He maintained a deep connection with his juniors, well into their graduation into adulthood, and his support, guidance and quiet confidence is greatly missed.

January 10th 2022 marks the one year anniversary since he was laid to rest in his village, Bukawa, in Morobe Province.

As a show of commitment to our love for our Dad, our family and our custom, we are raising funds in order to celebrate him with a deserving headstone. My family and will be traveling to Lae from Port Moresby in order to place his headstone and further funds raised will also go toward assisting our travel.
