Coach Steve Pointer Memorial Fund
On Sunday July 18th, 2021 Steve Pointer passed away unexpectedly from complications while recovering from a complex cancer operation. Steve was a well known and loved hockey coach in Wilmette where he helped many players begin their hockey journey. Whether it was from his time at the Wilmette Park District helping to manage the ice rink, coaching park district classes and lessons, or as a coach for Wilmette Hockey, Steve had a positive impact on so many young hockey players and their parents in the community. He helped instill a love of the game for so many of us. He was a good coach and an even better person. We will miss him.
