Coach Tait Borst

Coach Borst was in a terrible car accident on Thursday, December 1st. He is currently in the ICU at Memorial Hospital. While the prognosis appears good, an extremely long recovery will be ahead.
Not only is Coach Borst a Riley Hockey Club assistant coach, but a few short years ago, he was a Captain for the Riley Hockey Team. Coach Borst came in as a 14U coach a few years ago and then came back to Riley as a coach a year ago. His presence on the bench is highly noticeable. He leads by example, both on the ice and off the ice, with his faith.
One of the things the hockey community does best is come together in times of need for fellow players, coaches and their families. Coach Borst and his wife Carmen need us to unite as a community more than ever to support a young family through this difficult journey they will have ahead of them for a full recovery.
