Coach Trevor Dean with his battle against cancer

Friends and family are starting this GoFundMe to help Trevor Dean and his family with additional medical expenses not covered by insurance. Trevor is a father, a husband, a son, a brother, a coach, an uncle, a friend, and so much more. Thank you for any assistance you can offer.

 

After weeks of feeling flu-like symptoms, Trevor was admitted to the ER at the Medical Center of Plano in the Spring of 2021. He was initially diagnosed with empyema pneumonia, treated for the infection, and sent home. However, days passed, and he did not get any better. Trevor's doctor's assumed he had contracted the COVID-19 virus as his primary symptoms were coughing and extreme fatigue. They began searching for other answers as Trevor repeatedly tested negative for COVID-19.

 

In the summer of 2021, Trevor Dean was diagnosed with Stage IV colorectal cancer at the age of 54. On receiving the diagnosis, Trevor and his family set out to get him the best treatment possible; Trevor has been admitted as a patient at the world-renown MD Anderson Cancer Treatment Center in Houston, TX.

 

The treatments and travel come at a substantial financial cost that is not covered by insurance. Any financial assistance will reduce the burden Trevor and his family are currently facing.

 

Although cancer may limit Trevor's time on earth, he is determined to deny cancer's capacity to hinder his joy of life and the strength of his spirit. Thank you again for any assistance you can provide, and please keep Trevor in your thoughts and prayers.
