INTERNATIONAL Coaching Experience in Alicante

Hi my name is Danielle and im raising funds to allow me to go to Alicante with @LLSonline and coach children in rugby union.

@LLSonline is a sixth form college that gives me opportunities to coach and train like no other sports college.

I have been with them since September 2024 since leaving high school. The branch I am with is the first dedicated Rugby Union branch.

The trip to Alicante will allow me to gain a lot of experience and knowledge.

Whilst I am there I will be:

Coaching Spanish children rugby union, in a different environment to the normal wet conditions in Brighouse!

Also, learning what it is like to train in a different environment as a player.

Why does it mean so much to me to raise the money?

Without sport I dont know where I would be today!

As a female in sport I have had to struggle through at school and had to find teams external to play with.

I want to be a role model for other young people especially females, so they know there are people who acheieve their goals in more male dominated sports.

I started playing rugby union at high school and went on to play for Old Crosslyanns under 16s team. I still train with the u18 team, and with college.

I remember having a taster session at school and loving it even though it was none contact at school.

I tentertively asked my mum if I could try out for the local team at Old Crossylanns and thinking there was no way she would let me, as i'd dedicated my free time prior to this at gymnastics and dance.

SHE SAID YES!!

With huge thanks to all the coaches at crocs who believed in me and pushed me. They entrusted the captaincy to me in my 2nd year of playing for the u16s which I thoroughly enjoyed. Without that support, belief and learning full contact I would never have thought about Ice Hockey which is my other passion.

I keep myself busy and active at college playing rugby union, as well as playing Ice Hockey for 3 different teams in England.

As well as playing outisde of college I'm learning to coach younger children at tag rugby, and Ice hockey.

I want to grab the opportunity LLS has given me and coach in Spain and expand my CV so I stand out to potential employers when I leave college.
