Coach Matt Cross In His Fight to Beat Cancer

Coach Matt Cross, a well-respected Raleigh Raptors Peewee Coach, development coach with Prime Time Hockey (PTH) and member of the hockey community in Raleigh, NC was recently diagnosed Stage 2B Testicular Cancer.  He has already had a minor surgery but requires further treatment beginning next week. This includes a minimum 3 cycles of Chemotherapy that will last 9 weeks.  Some weeks Matt will receive chemo for 5 days straight, 5 hours each time.

We are creating this Go Fund Me Page for Matt so that he can go through treatment without having to worry about anything except getting better and beating cancer.

Many of you have reached out and asked how you can help and show your support for Matt.

Your donations will go straight to Matt’s medical care during his fight.  We would ideally like to raise $10,000. This money will go toward covering additional health insurance costs from out-of-pocket expenses for treatments and everyday living expenses.

Matt is in good spirits and is ready to inspire and fight this with bravery and enthusiasm.  He has always appreciated the love and support he has received from the Raleigh community since moving here years ago and looks forward to getting back in the rink to do what he loves the most and that’s coaching young people.
