Coach Shawn Garnett began having stomach pains over the summer; several tests and doctors visits later, he has been diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer. He will begin chemotherapy on September 18th, 2017.
Shawn is an amazing father to two sons who are his pride and joy. Shawn is a strong, kind, generous and selfless man who has dedicated his life to helping, supporting and encouraging others as a high school teacher, basketball, tennis and golf coach. His friends, current and former athletes would now like to help support him and have started this campaign to raise funds to help Shawn with uncovered medical expenses or exploring alternative treatment options, making memories with his boys and other financial needs as the result of this diagnosis.
