Coast2Coast Goes to Ghana’s New Horizon and AwaaWaa2 School

Coast Club and Coast 2 Coast are programs aimed at improving the lives of children with special needs and autism. We are a non-profit organization with 501(c)(3) status. Coast Club provides financial assistance to children with autism, enabling them to attend social programs and learn new skills in a supportive environment.

Coast 2 Coast delivers materials, training, and support to autism programs around the world. This June, we are planning our first outreach trip to New Horizon Special School in Accra, Ghana. New Horizon serves children, teens, and adults with autism. They are taught skills to improve communication, socialization, life skills and cognitive skills. This program desperately needs support and training in order to provide effective intervention. Our outreach will provide much needed training and carefully developed materials. Additionally, we will teach them the value of peer mentors. Our groups offer the benefit of working with peers and we plan to introduce this model to New Horizon. Early intervention has been proven to be essential for teaching skills and coping methods. Please help support our goal and make a difference in the life of a child by making a donation today!
