Cochran's Helping Hands in Haiti
Donation protected
Hello Cochran Family and Friends,
We are recent graduates and current students of Cochran School of Nursing at St. John’s Riverside Hospital that have been given the incredible chance to take part in a missionary trip this coming March to Leogane, Haiti through the organization “NurseTim”. These eight days in Haiti will be an unforgettable and life changing learning opportunity that will give us the chance to develop our critical thinking skills through active problem solving in real life situations as well as help utilize healthcare principles and evidence-based practice in this developing country. During our stay we will provide medical services and teaching services in hospital, school, community, and orphanage settings. Our activities will include teaching child and adult CPR and doing growth assessments on up to 700 children. We are all very excited to take part in this global health learning experience and we would be grateful for any contribution you can make to help aid us in doing so. The cost of the trip, per student, is $1775.00, not including airfare. This amount includes all room, board, travel within Haiti. It also includes a translator and other planned event services. If you would like to read more on NurseTim and our upcoming trip to Haiti, please click on the following link http://nursetim.com/haiti/. We look forward to joining NurseTim on this incredible journey and making a significant difference in the lives of the people of Leogane, Haiti.
