Coco Beach Resort Belize COVID-19 Staff Relief

On March 23, 2020 Coco Beach Resort was forced to close due to COVID-19. Since then Coco Beach has had to reduce the number of staff and has endured two island wide lockdowns. During the high season Coco Beach operates with a total of around 50 full time staff. Since April 2020 we have been operating with a staff of 8 part time. 

Many owners have asked how they can help the staff during this difficult time. We've created this go fund me page to allow owners to make donations directly for staff assistance with groceries and monthly utilities.  All donations will go to staff who have either been laid off or who's hours have been reduced.

As tourism is the main source of income on Ambergris Caye, all families have been hit hard.

Our goal is to raise $15,000USD to provide each staff member with two months worth of groceries and utility payments.

An average family of 4 has the following monthly expenses in Belize:

Butane $30 monthly
Electric $100 monthly
Water $80 monthly
Groceries $400 monthly
Total Monthly Expenses $610.00BZD

The staff are more than appreciative for any assistance and can't wait to get back to work at Coco Beach. At this time we are looking at a possible end of December 2020 opening.
