Coco my English Springer Spaniel needs Laparotomy
Everyone knows that Coco is my world, my best friend, my Rocksteady, my baby, my everything. Recently, my baby Coco (an English Springer Spaniel) has started acting differently and it has scared me quite a bit. She has become lethargic, been vomiting a few times a week, her breathing became shallow, and she also started collapsing. So I, of course, rushed her to her Vet.
After doing some blood work and examining Coco, the Vet found a very large mass in her abdomen. It is probably associated with her spleen or liver, they say. This is putting pressure on her stomach and pancreas. Of course this makes me ill to think that she is dealing with this, and it breaks my heart that I can't fix it for her.
A Laparotomy is needed so that they can remove the mass. This will help to see if it looks like it has spread to any organs. They will then biopsy the mass to see if it is cancerous or benign. If the mass is not removed it will at some point rupture, which will cause massive internal bleeding and death will be certain.
As you may know, a surgery of this kind is not cheap or easy. Any help you can offer could literally be saving her life. So, with that... I turn to you, my friends, family, animal-lovers, humanitarians: Please help me save Coco, my best friend and my baby. I don't know what I would do without her.
