COCOA KIDS HUB BUILDING FUND

The Cocoa Dream is a society, the charity arm of Cocoa Publishing dedicated to helping all children and especially those from ethnic minority backgrounds increase their literacy skills by running FREE writing/journalism workshops in schools and children's indoor centres. We desperately need our building so we can run the following:

1. Children's journalism writing clubs and workshops

2. Book club sessions

3. Adult book writing sessions

4. Parent workshops and support

5. Creative children's classes

6. SEN drop-in reading club sessions for parents that need respite

7. Children's podcast studio and much more!

Cocoa has been running for three years and is self-funded, we want to expand but we need your help!

According to Reuters only 0.2% of UK journalists are Black. Serlina the founder of Cocoa is determined to change this statistic and empower children to explore the world of journalism from a young age with her Cocoa Dream society whilst increasing their literacy skills.
