Code Coven Scholarships

Donation protected

It's Tara's 40th birthday and to celebrate we're fundraising for 40 Code Coven scholarships for game developers of marginalised genders! All donations will go towards funding scholarships and stipends which will be awarded to students in the form of waiving all class fees or paying them for their time in a Code Coven  program.

At Code Coven, we encourage and facilitate honest conversations about hard-hitting topics in order to challenge toxicity in existing work cultures and practices and reflect on ways to turn the tide in our industry. We aim to support marginalised folks to not only emerge as developers but also rise as leaders and entrepreneurs.

We are investing in the next generation of game developers who are going to fundamentally change the industry and each of our students gives us hope. To date, Code Coven directly:

• Supported 150+ underrepresented game developers from 20+ countries
• Built a 150+ strong mentor network
• Created programs valued at over $1.5m USD
• Provided scholarships for BAME/BIPOC developers

Each Code Coven scholarship and stipend is valued at  £1,200 GBP.

All donators will be credited on Code Coven's website and we will post updates whenever possible.

“I have never felt so fulfilled, so delighted - it brings me such joy to start seeing people be able to realize themselves and their own capacity. For me, it's that I can see such talent and possibility - and to see people be able to see that in themselves is breath-taking.” - Tara Mustapha (CEO & Founder of Code Coven)
