Cody Besler

As many of you know, Cody Besler was diagnosed with acinic cell carcinoma with high grade transformation in his parotid gland in 2020. He fought back with surgery, radiation, and his typical grit, grace, and strength. Cody and his family learned recently that the cancer has metastasized and spread to both of his lungs. This incredibly rare, aggressive form of cancer is Stage 4 and incurable. He’s weighing treatment options such as chemo, immunotherapy/targeted therapy, integrative and alternative options, and other courses of care.

With Cody and Amy’s permission, I am reaching out to ask for your support. Please join me in rallying around the Beslers by lifting potential financial loads as they go through the most difficult time of their lives. These expenses might include getting additional medical opinions, including exploring options in different locations. For example, a consultation at MD Anderson, a cancer center that might have some knowledge of this rare cancer, would not be covered by insurance. This consultation alone would cost $30,000.

In addition to contributing to medical expenses that might arise, I hope we can also support their ability to spend time doing things they enjoy together without apprehension about other bills.

The money raised in this fund will go directly to Cody and Amy as they navigate the challenging days ahead with an emotional burden that is unimaginable. Any amount would be greatly appreciated.
