Cody Wilkinson Attend Super Bowl LVII

Donation protected
Hi, my name is Gabe and I'm gladly raising some dough for our collective dude Cody Wo. If you're from Tucson, AZ, chances are, you might have met Cody Wilkinson in some capacity. If you have, you know he's a wonderful soul who's a selfless and hard-working father, husband, friend to most, and unfortunate enemy to like maybe 2-3 people, which is a great ratio. He's also a great musician who's been the glue to a lot of Tucson bands and also the guts of a few, including early VTM. Seriously, one of the best dudes you'll ever meet and I know the vast majority of people would agree.

What you may not know is that Cody is a diehard Philadelphia Eagles fan. When I first met him in 5th grade in 92-93, we shared our admiration for the NFL and the "black quarterback". We grew up watching Eagles legend Randall Cunningham and Oilers legend Warren Moon and then got to watch the McNabb & McNair era for our respective teams. I know, along with our closest friends, how much that franchise means to him. With that being said, we all would love to get Cody to the Super Bowl to watch his Eagles take on former Eagles legend and coach, Andy Reid. It's also in our home state of Arizona and I'm just going to assume that he loves halftime performer Rihanna because like, I don't know, look at her, most dudes should. And girls too. All jokes aside for this next paragraph...

This may not be general knowledge but I know I'm not overstepping here. At the end of high school, Cody was unfortunately diagnosed with non-Hodgkins lymphoma. In more serious terms, it's cancer. He spent a few years battling and undergoing treatment and by the grace of God and an unrelenting heart, Cody fought and won. A few nights ago, Cody's wonderful mother mentioned that he was too old to qualify to be a part of the Make-A-Wish program when he was undergoing treatment. That actually might be a blessing because 17-year-old Cody would have picked something really stupid like a Meet & Greet with Social Distortion or a keg of Red Dog and/or Zima.

So, folks -- here's our chance to right the ship. Super Bowl tickets are in the 5K-6K range. Yes, you read that right. We do have a few donors that are already committed to covering a good chunk of that 5K-6K. So I've set the goal at $5,999 because there will be fees and whatnot. I've already asked one of our straight-edge friends to commit to giving Cody beer money to get himself a collectible cup. Help us get our great friend Cody Wilkinson to the Super Bowl. Donate and share.
