Coe Park Pickleball Courts
Donation protected
We need more places to play. Your Gorge Pickleball Association Board has been exploring the options. With the City of Hood River’s approval, we are nearing completion of two new courts at Coe Park!
Using volunteer labor and money from dues, we have power washed, sealed the concrete cracks, primed and painted the surface and painted the lines. All of this work cost approximately $9,000, but we need more funds to complete this development.
These two new courts are ready to play now if you bring your own net. The city stipulated no play before 9 a.m. Park in the hospital parking garage if you can and always be nice to the neighbors!
One of our members has donated $25,000 worth of beautiful fencing and we have applied for a permit to install. While the fence was a gift, its installation will be expensive. We need these funds now so we can begin installation immediately upon receipt of the building permit.
We also plan to purchase two high quality nets, windscreens, a lock box to store equipment and maintenance items.
Estimates are as follows:
Fence installation $4,000
Nets $4,600 (Douglas Premier PPS-22SQ Portable Pickleball Net System)
Windscreens $2,000
Lockbox $600
Misc tools $400
Sundry $400
Total required is $12,000
Once complete, these courts will take pressure off Golden Eagle and allow us to hold BBQ’s and round robins. We hope to finish in August, but that schedule is dependent on having funds available.
Your donations will be acknowledged at the grand opening ceremonies. Time TBD.
Please donate what you can.
