Help Half Pint Cafe & Mudd Works Roastery Pay Rent
Donation protected
Hi folks,
I started Mudd Works Roastery and Half Pint Cafe years ago. My main focus was--and still is--super fresh, locally roasted beans and great coffee drinks. Being an owner-operator is highly rewarding from roasting the beans to crafting tasty beverages. No other work I've done has been as rewarding as opening these two businesses. I haven't stayed in business without help. I have two great baristas, Sam and Alix, at our roastery-cafe that is still operating during this crisis. Mudd Works is lucky to have two fun, energetic coffee-conscious baristas that truly make my and our customers day. Looking down the road, I want to continue roasting and serving coffee with my two wonderful baristas Sam and Alix. Besides, I wouldn't know what to do with free time!
The hardest part of putting out to the world that you need financial help is not asking for enough. $6,800 is a big ask. I am a bit sheepish. I am a helper, not a person who asks for help often. So where would this money go? Rent & utilities for two locations (Half Pint is temporarily closed), loan repayment, permits. It would also support labor costs for Sam, Alix, and myself for the month of April. Monthly expenses are $4,200, with labor $6,800.
While $6,800 is a big ask, any amount you can give would help. Help keep us employed- we’re a danger on the streets if we have nothing to do.
All the best,
Marc, Sam, and Alix -- Mudd Works Roastery
