Coffman Family Show Pigs Barn Fire
Donation protected
On the afternoon of Saturday, February 3rd, the Coffman Family barn caught fire. Matt and his dad made many efforts to save their beloved show pigs. Unfortunately, not all could be saved and the loss is overwhelming.
Over 90 pigs in total lost their lives and in turn the financial loss will be catastrophic. Of course there is insurance for the barn but we are not sure how the pigs will factor. Matt, Kim and the girls have put all of their extra family hours toward the goal of supplying many families with pigs for their county fairs this year.
We will be continuing to pray and support them as a family.
Right now we are looking to bridge the gap between what insurance will cover and also the time it will take to get everything back up and running.
We want to say a huge THANK YOU to everyone who came out to help as much as they could.
Also a huge thanks to Wellington, Spencer, New London and Rochester Fire Departments for your quick response and hard work!
Special thanks to those who brought their trailers to get the remaining animals out and for giving them a safe place to lay their heads tonight!
