Help Fight Against Venous Thoracic Outlet Syndrome

Hi, I am a single mother of two children.

I am raising money to help with utility bills, and household expenses. I am able to manage the mortgage, and groceries.  All additional funds will be set up in trust funds for the kids in case something happens to me, I don't have life insurance and I'm just trying to provide for them worse case scenario. 

Due to unforseen circumstances, I am not going to be able to work for a few months.

I have been diagnosed with a rare disorder called Venous Thoracic Outlet Syndrome.

This is where the vein coming from my arm into my heart, is pinched between my clavicle (collar bone) and first rib. It is causing severe blood clots around my collar bone

I am to have my #1 rib removed and 2 supporting muscles, and repair to the vein itself, as to prevent further clots from forming. 

I initially had balloon venoplasty surgery in my right arm to try and correct the clotting.. that surgery caused massive bruising to my entire arm. 

My doctor now wants to do an ultrasound on my left arm as there are several symptoms that mirror my right arm.

The symptoms that I was experiencing were numbness to my finger tips, tingling, and hot spots, I have severe neck and shoulder pain as well, which I was diagnosed with arthritis earlier last year. 

I have severe dizziness and nausea as well.

After some research on my behalf, I've had most of these symptoms for 2 years,  either misdiagnosed or written off. What sent me to the ER.... my whole arm was swollen, hard and hot to the touch, all my veins were visible and bulging. 

It was very scary to say the least... 

I'm to report to Norfolk General Heart Hospital for a study on the 26th of October, and schedule surgery on the 28th. 

We have also lost our beloved father/grandfather during this difficult time which makes things even harder on us all.
