Colette's Kidney Transplant Recovery
Donation protected
My dear friend Colette has been through so much over the past 4.5 years. Since being diagnosed with kidney failure, she had been receiving dialysis three days a week for over four hours each day. Her life has been completely affected by her health and dialysis routine, leaving her unable to work since early in her journey.
After numerous medical complications and procedures, and many years of her life spent in and out of the hospital, she finally got the life changing call on December 13th that there was a kidney available for her in Halifax. The surgery went well, however, with recent complications, she has been readmitted to the hospital. As of now, doctors are not able to identify the cause of the problem, which is concerning to say the least. They have been informed that if the problem cannot be resolved, they may have to go back to Halifax for further procedures.
Colette's husband, Frank, has been by her side through it all. Since her transplant surgery, he has also been unable to work, as he is committed to spending his time supporting her recovery. With Colette now back in hospital, the family is experiencing heightened stress, and the financial aspect does not help.
The funds from any donations will be used to alleviate their financial concerns through this difficult ordeal, allowing them to concentrate on recovery. Colette and Frank are two amazing people who have been through so much and deserve a break.
Any donation, no matter how small, would mean the world. But, if you are unable to donate, please keep them in your thoughts and prayers.
