On March 15, 2025, our beloved Okeysha "Keysha" Brooks-Coley passed away after a courageous battle with cancer. Keysha was a devoted mother, wife, and fierce advocate who dedicated her life to creating a more equitable and compassionate healthcare system. Her leadership and unwavering commitment to advancing legislation to support cancer patients and their caregivers, chronic disease, data, affordability, and access touched millions. We are particularly proud of the lives she touched through her roles as Vice President of Advocacy at the Blue Cross Blue Shield Association and previously as Vice President of Federal Advocacy at the American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network.
Keysha’s leadership, service, and love legacy lives on through her children. In her memory, we’ve created the Coley Children’s College Fund to help ensure that her greatest pride—her children—are supported as they pursue their dreams through higher education.
Every donation, no matter the size, will go directly toward their college expenses, including tuition, books, housing, and other essential needs. Your generosity during this incredibly difficult time will relieve some of the financial burden and serve as a powerful reminder to Julia, Marshall, Henry, and Claira that a strong community is here to support them, just as Keysha spent her life supporting so many others.
As a family, community, and network of friends, we are rallying together to honor Keysha by investing in what she cherished most: the future of her children.
