Colin Bastow 1980 to 2022
Two days ago my brother was tragically murdered in Spokane county a day before Christmas Eve.
His neighbors, friends, bosses, and people he had helped had very good things to say about Colin and that he had a big heart. He had compassion for the people, animals, and believed in good. He was optimistic about the future.
Colin had a big, and good heart, grit, and was helpful to people in need especially the poor. He was an army veteran, horseback tour guide in glacier national park, artist, wood worker, and a carpenter. Colin worked very hard and was kind, smart, empathetic and a very loving brother, and uncle. Most of all he was nice and not just to people but to animals as well. He cared about people who had barely anything. He was always a gentleman to women.
Colin was born and grew up in Spokane WA but also as a teenager in Bakersfield CA. He was murdered in Medical Lake WA nearby Spokane WA.
He was God fearing. His loss is big. I'm looking forward to seeing him in heaven but as we are young it will be a long time until then.
He could survive many grizzly bear encounters in glacier but a violent woman was what killed him a day before Christmas Eve only two blocks from the fire station and sheriff substation in Medical Lake.
Colin has a community of people and friends who were impacted negatively by his death.
Merry Christmas Colin!
Your loving brother,
Semper Fi,
Hamish Bastow
This is Colin's last Christmas present and any amount is helpful and most of all please share and spread awareness by sharing this GoFundMe with everyone you know.
All funds will be used to cover his funeral and memorial expenses and to seek the fullest justice legally possible.
I want to ensure that justice in this case is served even though Colin is dead and can't stand up for himself in court.
There is a lot I can't say due to the ongoing investigation and I pray that the prosecution team and everyone else involved with this case does a stellar job.
Thank you for all your support and sharing this for Colin.
