My name is Hailey. My boyfriend Colin is someone who can always put a smile on anyone’s face and light up a room. He is the most loving, caring person I think I’ve ever met. He’s outgoing and loves to live life to the fullest. He loves to have fun, can talk to literally anyone about anything and is just an enjoyable person to be around.

On September 10th our lives changed. He was involved in a horrific motorcycle accident that has led to severe injuries. He has had to undergo multiple surgeries and will have more in the near future.

At the trauma center at Barnes we waited to find out the extent of his his injuries and quite honestly, we weren’t sure if he was going to make it. By a miracle, some helpful bystanders and brilliant surgeons he is still here with us. In order to save his life he had to get his right leg amputated below the knee. Multiple surgeries have saved his left leg. He will be having an extensive surgery in the next month or so that will leave him unable to put weight on his left leg for 4-6 months. At the same time we’re hoping he’ll get fitted for a prosthetic and regain the use of his right leg.
He’s also had surgery on his left arm/wrist to repair broken bones and tendons. He still has pins in his hand and is in physical and occupational therapy to regain function in that arm. He had two collapsed lungs and was on a ventilator for two days. He has a broken breastbone, road rash and some lacerations that are still healing.
Almost 6 weeks ago we weren’t sure if he was going to breathe on his own and now he’s in rehabilitation therapy and trying to adjust to a new normal way of life.

With that being said Colin is not able to work and needs around the clock care. We will need to start some renovations on our house that will better suit a wheelchair and help him in his daily life.

He is going to have a lot of medical bills and will need some help from all of us. If you can donate anything at all it would mean the world to us.

He’s going to have a long recovery but he is the strongest person I’ve ever met and he is determined to make a full recovery. If anyone can do it he can!

Thank you for all the positive thoughts and prayers. Anything is appreciated and we are grateful to all of you ❤️
