Colin Wolf Foundation - June Matching Drive

June is an important month for me as it marks my birth month and Pride month in the States. With that on mind, I am proud to sponsor a fundraising campaign for The Colin Project. The Colin Project is the flagship initiative of the Colin Wolf Foundation, with the mission to end homelessness among LGBTQ+ youth.

Homelessness and the challenges faced by LGBTQ+ youth are surprisingly and profoundly intertwined. Shockingly, nearly half of the homeless youth in our country identify as LGBTQ+. They endure a perilous journey marked by survival sex, reluctant involvement in the drug trade, and a suicide rate more than three times higher than their housed peers.

The Colin Project focuses on three main objectives: preventing homelessness, providing support for those currently homeless, and preparing them with the necessary tools to thrive in their communities once housed.

Throughout June, I will match all donations to the Foundation up to $5,000. In return, the Foundation will award two grants in June to essential and effective community groups dedicated to housing gay youth in our communities.
