Help Colin Leave A Legacy for His Kids

Donation protected
Colin passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on Friday, October 23 from undiagnosed heart complications. He had just finished an evening of setting up Halloween decorations with his love Rachael, his son Aiden (14) and his daughter Madelyn (7) when he collapsed in his backyard. His death is an unspeakable tragedy that is rippling through his entire community.

Having thought he was in relatively good health, and boundless in his energy all the way up to his final moments, Colin unfortunately did not have a life insurance plan to prepare for this occasion. The family is therefore requesting your support to help Colin leave a financial legacy for his children. All funds collected will be used to generate a mutual fund to support the future of Aiden and Madelyn.

Support in this way will mean that Colin will be able to ensure that his children have the financial security and opportunity that he no doubt was planning to, and wanting to provide for them. As Colin's family and closest friends, we extend to you our deepest gratitude for whatever you feel called to donate. We are beyond heartbroken, and the outpouring of affection and support in the wake of this tragic event has meant so much to us all.

Thank You, and Bless You

We've included Colin's Obituary below:

Colin Aaron Young, age 38, of Irondequoit, passed away unexpectedly on October 23, 2020. He is survived by his parents, Howard and Christine (McFarlin) Young, the love of his life Rachael Conrad, his beloved children, Aiden and Madelyn, brothers Austin (Mindy) and Joel, Nieces, Nephews, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and countless friends, all whom he considered his family.

Colin was known for his quick wit, infectious smile, and his kind, compassionate and fun-loving spirit. Boundless in his energy, Colin radiated warmth and love in every interaction. He danced courageously to the beat of his own drum, and inspired others to do the same. He answered the call of friendship in a way that taught friendship, and he answered the call of fatherhood in a way that will forever live through his children. Colin was the pillar and creator of community in which everyone was always welcome. Not only will the world not be the same without him, it will not be the same because of him.
