Colin's Mission Trip - Dominican Republic

I will be going on my first mission trip in June to the Dominican Republic. Honestly, I couldn't have hand-picked a better first missions trip for myself.

Just to give you a little background, I've been playing baseball since I was 4 or 5 years old and I have played parks and rec league, middle school/high school ball and year round travel ball. Currently, I'm a sophomore at Lenoir Community College where I'm a pitcher for the Lancers.

In regards to my upcoming missions trip, I will be going with ¡PlayBall! which is a ministry where boys learn both the skills of baseball and God’s plan of salvation from the Bible. ¡PlayBall! fits in perfectly in the Dominican Republic because baseball is embraced everywhere: in cities, in towns and in villages.

I don't know the grand total for all of my expenses at this time but I know that my housing and food is $700 for the 10 days I will be there and flights right now are hovering around $1000 and we are just watching them and hoping they go down a bit. I will be paying other expenses out of my own pocket.
