Support our friend‘s family in Gaza

We are two people from Beirut and Berlin respectively, collecting donations for a displaced friend in Gaza. This Gazan friend has lost their family home and had to flee from Khan Yunis to Rafah, due to the ongoing bombardments from the Israeli army. We have agreed to keep our friend’s identity anonymous for safety reasons, but feel free to reach out and ask us about them.

After some initial individual efforts to raise funds, we are now calling on the public to help us send more money. The amount gathered will go to the Gazan friend via bank wire through a relative. Our friend will help as many people around them, including themselves and their family.   

They are helping with putting up tents, cooking and trying to make sure everyone is getting their basic needs met. Please help us help them. Help them get food, water, coats, pads, tents and everything they could need in these dire times. The cover photo up top shows the friend's current location. We are keeping tabs with them daily but each day is getting worse and worse.

It is day 164 of the gen0cide in Gaza and sadly the situation for our friend and everyone else has only gotten worse every day. 

We we are deeply grateful to everyone who has donated so far and helped us send over two batches of money (2541€ in Feb and then 2339€ in March, total of 4880€). With your generous donations and help our friend was able to buy groceries and other urgent items for the community and cook meals for his family and neighbors in the Rafah refugee camp. 

Because of the impending ground invasion of Rafah which will have absolutely devastating effects on the population of residents and displaced people, our friend has decided with a heavy heart that it is time to evacuate his family to Egypt. Therefore we are raising the goal of the fundraiser to 39.880€ in order to send over an additional 35.000€. The goal is this high because unfortunately the price for evacuation across the Egyptian border is 5000 USD per person. Our friend’s total number of family members is seven. 

It is up to us now to raise this amount as quickly as possible so our friend can get his family and himself to safety. We greatly thank everyone for reading, sharing this fundraiser with their network and donating so we can reach the goal.
